Lake Gaston Hideaway is the best large family home available for rent on the lake. With 7 bedrooms and approximately 4200 Square Feet of living area, there is plenty of room for everyone in your group to be comfortable. It is well appointed with quality furnishings and everything you will need for a fun and relaxing vacation at Lake Gaston. Hideaway has a striking main lake location with panoramic views. The picture at the top of this page is the view from the upper boat house deck. We have owned Hideaway since it was new in the summer of 2005, and we use it as our family lake home, as well as renting it out, so we take a personal pride in making sure that it stays in top shape.
Lake Gaston is truly one of the most outstanding lakes in the country! It's great for swimming, boating, fishing, jet skiing, water skiing, sailing and much more! It is approximately 34 miles long, one and one half miles wide at the widest part, has over 350 miles of shoreline and over 20,000 surface acres of high quality water. One of the great advantages of Lake Gaston compared to other lakes in the area is that because it is used for generating hydroelectric power, it must be kept within 1 foot of it's normal level by regulation. Because of this, even when surrounding lakes are low due to drought conditions, Lake Gaston is at or very near its normal levels.
